Retractables must be closed up in strong wind to avoid damage to both the fabric and the frame.- You're looking for more than just shade: Our fixed awnings are designed to be further customized with screens that protect against insects, and curtains that provide privacy and shield you from low sun rays.
- You have a large, deep area to cover: Fixed awnings don't have size restrictions the way that retractable awnings do. Because retractable awnings cannot be deeper than they are wide, that can be limiting if you want to cover an area that extends further out from the building to which it is attached.

- Reduced daylight in your home: If the awning is placed over a window or patio door, then it will prevent much of the daylight from entering the interior space until the canvas is removed for the winter.
